All Dressed Up!

Hi bloggers!  Today I would like to share a card I made using the new Fabulous Fashion cd rom from Katy Sue Designs.  I haven't done much CD crafting, but must say that the designs and colours on this one are fab!

I printed a decoupage dress and hat and added ribbon behind one of the layers of each.  I printed one of the matching background papers.  The green paper is from my stash and I used an Anna Griffin ribbon punch along the edges and threaded ribbon through it.  The flowers are from the CD and I have used card candy in the centres.  The lace and gems are from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the Crafty Ribbons Challenge - 'Anything Goes with Ribbon'.

I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Lilies

Hello bloggers.  Firstly may I say a big thank you to everyone for their lovely comments - I really appreciate them!!  Today I thought I would do something a bit different.  I bought some Martha Stewart air dry clay a little while ago so decided to have a play with it.  It is really easy to use and the results are great - even my 11 year old son made a beautiful rose with it which he is really proud of!

My son's rose!
I inked a piece of card with Dusty Concord Distress Ink and then stamped Sheena Douglass' 'A Little Bit Floral - Floral Corners' with black archival.  I then 'painted' the stamped lilies with watered-down bleach to lift off some of the colour (if you are going to try this please work in a ventilated area as the bleach does make your eyes water!).  I layered the stamped image onto black card and put a piece of acetate over it - I used Card Candy to cover up where I had stuck on the acetate.  (I saw this done in a magazine a little while ago and think it looks really effective.)  I stuck the whole thing onto a mirror I had so I can now use it as a piece of wall art.

The lilies in the corner are made with the air dry clay using the Blossom Sugar Art 'Lily' cutter and mould set.  I left them to dry overnight and used the 'Ultramarine Violet' Aqua Promarker to colour the centres.  I cut the flourishes from Spellbinders Jewel Flowers and Flourishes.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Cute!

Hello everyone - I thought I would share this card with you today as I think this stamp is really cute!  I have made it for a girl at my son's school for her 11th birthday.  I started with a 6" square scalloped card blank.  The image is 'Flowers From Bamboo', from the Crafter's Companion Party Paws range, which I coloured with Copics and Spectrum Noirs.  I cut it out using Spellbinders Marvellous Squares.  The sentiment stamp is from Marion Emberson Designs 'Sunshine & Flowers' which I stamped in black archival and cut out using Spellbinders Ornamental Tags One.  The green and red card are Bazzill Bling (Christmas).  The background card and gem is from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the Love to Create Challenge - 'Something for Kids'.

I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Clarity Stamp Challenge 3 – 'It’s All In The Sentiment'

Welcome to my Blog!  This is a card I have made for the Clarity Stamp Challenge – ‘It’s All In The Sentiment’.

I started by stamping the front of an 8 x 8 card with the Floral Swirl stamp using Victorian Velvet distress ink.  I then embossed it with an Embossalicious folder called Rose Garden and inked the edges with Victorian Velvet.  The circles in the centre are Spellbinders Exquisite Circles.  I used archival ink for the sentiment and Roseart stamps.  The paper roses are from The Hobby House.  The pink and green card are Bazzill Bling (Christmas).  I used Spellbinders Jewel Flowers and Flourishes to cut out the leaves.  I stamped the Clever Urn onto the pink card using black archival and stuck it onto the card using 3D foam pads.  The gems are from my stash.

I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!
